Molecor, world leader in the manufacturing of machinery and production of PVC oriented pipes ( PVC-O) for high pressure pipelines, has closed the 2011 business year with a turnover of 12.8 millions euros, almost double respecting 2010 and 19 times more than in 2008, the year in which the company started its business activity.

Molecor has increased its revenue a 66% respecting the previous year reaching to 12.8 million euros, of which 84% correspond to export sales and 66% to sales outside the European Union. The EBITDA for 2011 has increased in 92% respecting 2010, reaching 2.7 M€. The 2011 EBITDA is 10 times higher than 2008's.

Thanks to this increase in the past years and with a view to continue with its research and development , Molecor opened a new R&D plant in Fuenlabrada ( Madrid) in 2011, and foresees the opening of a new plant in Loeches ( Madrid) by the end of 2012, which involves an investment of 6 million euros.

Molecor's current workforce is composed of 52 highly qualified workers, and the incorporation of new staff is expected for the start up of the new plant in Loeches by the end of 2012.

In line with its commitment to innovation and development, in 2010 a new R&D project was started in order to engineer a new manufacturing process for PVC-O pipes of large diameters, making of Molecor the pioneer in manufacturing PVC-O pipes of diameters reaching up to DN 630 mm and making available the technology for manufacturing PVC-O pipes up to 30’’, DN 800 mm.

At the same time, in 2012 new projects have been started with a view to applying molecular orientation in polymers to new products and applications.

For 2012 Molecor anticipates an increase of 200% again on its annual turnover , grounded on the increase of the exports in technology and tubes throughout the world and the increase in the range of products that will be made available to the market thought its two lines of business. Molecor is committed to a solid and sustainable business model.
